Who Exactly Are Fallen Angels?

The First Fall: Lucifer’s Rebellion
The first fall of angels centers around a prominent angel named Lucifer. He was originally a high-ranking angel in Heaven, created by God. However, Lucifer’s pride and desire for power led him to rebel against God’s authority.
In the book, Lucifer is described as wanting to be equal to or even greater than God. He believed that he should rule over all creation. This arrogance and disobedience to God’s divine order ultimately led to his fall from grace.
Lucifer’s rebellion and fall are often symbolized by his transformation into Satan or the Devil, the embodiment of evil and temptation in various religious traditions. He became a symbol of defiance and opposition to God’s will.
The Second Fall: Semjâzâ’s Followers
After the initial fall of angels led by Lucifer, another group of angels descended to Earth. These angels were led by Semjâzâ. Unlike Lucifer, Semjâzâ and his followers did not seek power or rebel against God out of pride. Instead, their fall was rooted in a different kind of temptation.
The Temptation and Oath
Semjâzâ and his angels were tempted by the beauty of human women. They found these women so alluring that they broke God’s commandments by descending to Earth and marrying them.
This action was forbidden because angels were meant to remain in Heaven and not have relationships with humans. In chapter 6 of Book of Enoch, it chronicles that:
And it came to pass, after the children of men had increased in those days, beautiful and comely daughters were born to them. 2. And the angels, the sons of the heavens, saw and lusted after them, and said one to another: “Behold, we will choose for ourselves wives from among the children of men, and will beget for ourselves children.”
3. And Semjâzâ, who was their leader, said to them: “I fear that perhaps ye will not be willing to do this deed, and I alone shall suffer for this great sin.” 4. Then all answered him and said: “We all will swear an oath, and bind ourselves mutually by a curse, that we will not give up this plan, but will make this plan a deed.”
5. Then they all swore together, and bound themselves mutually by a curse; and together they were two hundred. 6. And they descended on Ardîs, which is the summit of Mount Hermon; and they called it Mount Hermon, because they had sworn on it and bound themselves mutually by a curse.
7. And these are the names of their leaders: Semjâzâ, who was their leader, Urâkibarâmêêl, Akibêêl, Tâmiêl, Râmuêl, Dânêl, Ezêqêêl, Sarâqujâl, Asâêl, Armers, Batraal, Anânî, Zaqêbê, Samsâvêêl, Sartaêl, Turêl,
Jomjâêl, Arâzjâl. 8. These are the leaders of the two hundred angels, and the others all were
with them.
CHAP. 7.—And they took unto themselves wives, and each chose for himself one, and they began to go in to them, and mixed with them, and taught them charms and conjurations, and made them acquainted with the cutting of roots and of woods. 2. And they became pregnant and brought forth great giants whose stature was three thousand ells. 3. These devoured all the acquisitions of mankind till men were unable to sustain themselves.
The Third Fall: Azazel’s Influence
Azazel played a central role in the third fall of angels. Unlike the first fall led by Lucifer and the second led by Semyaza, Azazel’s fall was marked by his influence on humanity rather than rebellion against God.
Azazel’s Forbidden Teachings
Azazel, after descending to Earth, taught humans various skills and knowledge. While some of this knowledge may have been useful, it also included forbidden practices. 1. And Azâzêl taught mankind to make swords and knives and shields and coats of mail, and taught them to see what was behind them, and their works of art: bracelets and ornaments, and the use of rouge, and the beautifying of the eye-brows, and the dearest and choicest stones and all coloring substances and the metals of the earth.
2. And there was great wickedness and much fornication, and they sinned, and all their ways were corrupt. 3.Amêzârâk taught all the conjurers and root-cutters, Armârôs the loosening of conjurations, Baraq’âl the astrologers, Kôkâbêl the signs, and Temêl taught astrology, and Asrâdêl taught the course of the moon. 4. And in the destruction of mankind, they cried aloud, and their voices reached heaven.
The Fourth Fall: The Nephilim and Their Origin
The fourth fall of angels isn’t about angels descending from Heaven; instead, it’s about the consequences of what happened in the previous falls. After the angels in the first and second falls mixed with humans, they had children with mortal women. These hybrid children were called the Nephilim.

The Nephilim were different from regular humans. They were often described as giants with great physical strength and power.

The Nephilim used their strength to intimidate and harm humanity. They caused fear and suffering among people, making their lives difficult and miserable. This verse in the Book of Enoch speaks about them:
“4. And the giants turned themselves against mankind in order to devour them. 5. And they
began to sin against the birds and the beasts, and against the creeping things, and the fish,
